Whats "embalming fluid" on cannabis and how does it work?
Q: I tried this weed that people said was laced with embalming fluid, and it caused kind of trippy effects. The people said it was fermeldyhyde that was on it. well i got a hold of some of the pure liquid and I was wondering how much is a safe dose to try out.

A: "Embalming fluid" is an old slang term for PCP, or phencyclidine. It is quite possible that people are confusing this with real embalming fluid and placing it on their weed. This is not a very good idea. Even if it did increase the psychoactivity, formaldehyde (the most common embalming fluid) is quite reactive and toxic. Merely smelling it can cause nausea and vomitting. Injestion can cause headache, nausea, vomitting, liver damage, etc. I would not reccomend ingesting any such toxic substance, including placing it onto a plant matter you intend to smoke.
