Q: Are peyote seeds legal in the US?
A: No. Federal law makes all parts of the plant Lophophora williamsii Schedule 1 illegal drugs. This includes the seeds. Seeds of other species in the Lophophora genus, including L. diffusa, are not covered by federal law, although some states may have stricter local laws.
