I heard of someone taking GHL...is there another name for this?
Q: |
I heard of someone taking GHL. They said it becomes GHB in the body. Is there another name for this that i'm missing? I've searched the net and all I see are references for GHB.
Thanks for the help. |

I assume you're probably talking about GBL, Gamma-butyrlactone. GBL is converted into GHB in vivo (in the body). We have some basic information about GBL at :
http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/ghb/gbl_info1.shtml
But in general, the information about GHB effects and cautions (not dosage) are all true for GBL as well. It might be good to mention that straight GBL is more potent than GHB liquids at about 1.0-1.5 GHB gram equivalents per millilter, meaning there is enough in a teaspoon to be TOO MUCH for almost all users in a single dose. GBL also tastes like a cross between sucking on a car tire and cheap alcohol. Its said to be used as a wood stripper, but we haven't actually been able to confirm that anywhere.
Hope this helps.
