Can I get high on Borax?
Q: On the side of the box of Borax it says, "NOT FOR DRUG USE". Could be used as a drug? I know it has sodium tetroborate decahydrate in it, but i didn't know what that was, so i figured i would ask you before i did anything stupid. THANKS!

A: "Drug" does not necessarily mean something which gets you high - for example, aspirin and penicillin are both drugs. If a product is labelled "NOT FOR DRUG USE" that generally means that the product is not intended to be used as a medicine. It is not some kind of cute way of saying "This will get you high but we can't say that." This reminds me too much of highschool kids who will go through medicine cabinets looking for "May Cause Drowsiness" labels thinking that means "It'll Fuck Ya Up Yo" - Pharmaceutical and industrial companies are not generally in the habit of putting "clues" on their products for druggies. If a label says "Not For Drug Use" that means its not for drug use, not "Party Time!" If a label says "May Cause Drowsiness" that generally means it will make you tired, not high. If a label says "Poison!" that generally means it can and/or will kill you. You are not going to make some amazing new drug discovery in your medicine cabinet, your kitchen spice rack, or your household cleaning supplies.

No, you can not get high from Borax.
