Is Panaeolus semiovatus psychoactive?

Is Panaeolus Semiovatus psychoactive? The Guide to N. American Mushrooms doesn't list its edibility status. I found an old book in a libary that said it was the one used by the Aztecs as a hallucinagen. Another book just said it is best to stay away from all Panaeolus because reports of poisoning, but I think they just don't want you expanding your mind. I have searched for days online and can't find an edibility status. So please help you are my last hope.

According to Paul Stamets, author of Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World, there is some debate as to the edibility of P. semiovatus based on conflicting reports in earlier field guides. However, he states that "Most experts consider it nonactive and nonpoisonous" and labels it Not Active in his own description.
