Are there vegetarian gelcaps?
Q: As a veggie/vegan fence walker, I'm not that into using parts of others bodies, in the process of ingesting mind altering substances. Do you know if there's any good non-animal derived alternative to gelatine caps?
A: Yes, there are vegetarian-friendly "gel-caps". They sold under various brand names, including "Vegi-Caps" and are made from plant fibers rather than animal-derived gelatin. They come in the same sizes as regular gelatin capsules (O, OO, etc) and should be relatively easy to find for sale from health food shops or stores on the web.



One difference between Veggie Caps and gelcaps is that the veggie caps don't dissolve as quickly.
