Does "Moonflower" refer to Morning Glory or to Datura?
Q: Here's a tricky one for you. I have Moonflower (Ipomoea alba) On your site you refer to Moonflower as a member of the Datura family, But on the package it says "It is closely related to it's cousins morning glories." What is this stuff?

Scruffy J

A: It's certainly somewhat confusing, but a lot of common names are used for multiple different plants.

The term "Moonflower" appears to be used both in reference to a particular species of Morning Glory (Ipomoea alba, also known as Tropical White Morning glory) and as a common name for Datura.
