Unfortunately, it isn't a simple answer. The MAPS study in 1996 found that of 33 pills tested:11 had no MDMA, 2 had around 20mg, 11 had around 70 mg, and 9 pills had around 110 mg. Obviously that's a wide range. The range of MDMA contained in street ecstasy pills goes through up and down trends throughout the year and varies depending on what part of the country or world the pills are from, An Ecstasy.org study in January of 1998 found that only 6 of 35 pills (17\%) contained MDMA...all about 70 mg. In 1996 Ecstasy.org found that 50\\% of the tested pills in America contained MDMA, an average of about 73 mg.
