Is there a such substance as a cocaine sedative?
Q: Is there a such substance as a cocaine sedative. If so, what is it. Thank you.
A: No, cocaine is a stimulant. There may be some confusion because cocaine can be used as a topical anaesthetic, numbing sensitive tissues (nose, eyes etc). Unlike general anaesthetics which are used to knock people unconscious, topical anaethetics do not cause sleep or unconsciousness.
