Is a spore print a good way to start a mushroom colony?
Q: i was wondering if a spore print is a good source for spores to start a colony of shrooms?
if not can you tell me where to find spores or how to go about making my own sterile spore syringe?
A: A fresh spore print from a strain of mushroom you're interested in cultivating is an excellent way to start a mushroom culture. Generally this needs to be done with a fresh (not dried) mushroom within a few days of being picked.
