5-MeO-DIPT is not one of the "SAMHSA-5", the five drugs tested for in U.S. government-approved basic drug tests. 5-MeO-DIPT is also not tested for in typical extended drug tests. It is not chemically similar to any of the drugs tested for, so should not trigger the tests as another substance.

Research conducted in 2004 yielded a paper describing how to detect 5-MeO-DIPT, but there are no screens yet available that don't require GC/MS or similar technical analysis.

CAUTION & DISCLAIMER #
Erowid's drug testing information is a summary of data gathered from site visitors, journal articles, websites, and other resources. Detection periods depend on amount and frequency of use, metabolic rate, body mass, age, overall health, drug tolerance, and urine pH of each individual. Many substances that are not tested for in basic or extended urinalysis tests CAN be tested for by a laboratory willing to go to the trouble, although that is uncommon.
