Imagery: The Drum Festival in Huichol culture is a spiritual celebration that commemorates the end of the rainy season and the beginning of the corn harvest. Guided by the shaman, known as mara'akame, the community engages in ritual chants, presents offerings, and seeks spiritual purification. The festival aims to express gratitude to the gods for their protection and generosity, as well as to secure future prosperity, concluding with the baptism of the community's children.

Imagery: The Huichol shaman seeks divine blessings for healing and guiding the tribe. Consuming the flowers of the tree of the wind and peyote cactus enables heightened consciousness to understand divine messages. Before ingestion, a ritual seeks gods' blessing and cleansing. The eagle serves as the messenger for both shaman and gods.

Imagery: The moon plays a significant feminine role in Huichol beliefs, safeguarding the community from malevolent spirits and negativity. The mara'kame, or shaman, seeks wisdom and strength from the moon to lead their community, perform rituals, assist the sick, and ensure rain for the crops. The shaman expresses gratitude to the goddess by offering sacred gifts inside the gourd bowl.
