Huichol yarn painting from Nayarit area of Mexico. 11.9 x 11.9" (30 x 30 cm), yarn on wood applied with beeswax and resin. For preservation this should be framed. Description on back.

Imagery: The Huichol shaman seeks divine blessings for healing and tribal leadership. Consuming wind tree flowers and peyote, the shaman attains heightened consciousness. Spirits of deceased relatives, manifesting as bees, butterflies, birds, and rabbits near the wind tree, enhance the shaman's ability in guiding and healing the tribe.
