Purely Therapeutic Benzo with Lack of Euphoria
Pyrazolam
Citation:   definelogic. "Purely Therapeutic Benzo with Lack of Euphoria: An Experience with Pyrazolam (exp100706)". Erowid.org. Apr 14, 2016. erowid.org/exp/100706

DOSE:
0.5 mg oral Pyrazolam (pill / tablet)
BODY WEIGHT: 60 kg
Having experienced other short-acting triazolobenzodiazepines ranging from Alprazolam to Etizolam (yes, I know it's technically a Triazolothienodiazepine, but virtually identical in effect), I found both to be unusually euphoric as far as the benzos are concerned, since my usual (prescribed) benzo of choice is diazepam. I find diazepam to have a high therapeutic value, with low to moderate euphoria; more a sense of apathetic relaxation than anything. Both Alprazolam and Etizolam were, in my experience, somewhat similar to being drunk.

Long story short, I came into possession of ten tablets (or 'pellets') containing 0.5mg pyrazolam each, a novel benzo on the RC scene. Although RCs are somewhat dubious in nature and I don't trust them, the substituted benzodiazepines all share the same common characteristics, so I was not too worried, though I approached it with caution and a single dose of 0.5mg - equivalent to my usual 5mg diazepam in times of crisis, according to the BZD equivalency table.

The first effects could be felt around twenty minutes later. Nothing particularly special, just a slowing of thoughts (I have a problem with racing thoughts as a result of Asperger syndrome, hence why I find benzodiazepines useful at times) and a decrease in muscle tension. One interesting point is that the apathy and euphoria remained almost nonexistent throughout, there was a certain amount of sedation but it was hardly overwhelming and I was able to function quite normally until the effects wore off some 10hrs later.

I seriously doubt the abuse potential of this stuff. Recreational users of benzodiazepines will no doubt be disappointed. Hopefully therefore it won't be banned, since for the first time I seem to have found a benzo which lacks abuse potential. According to other forums, tolerance is slow to develop in comparison with other BZDs, and since most reports seem to convey disappointment rather than satisfaction, it may just be around a while yet. We can only hope...
