I bombed 150mg of MDMA at 23:15 (T=0). Immediately afterwards (T+0:01), I took 1000mg Vitamin C (Emergen-C packet) 300mg racemic ALA, 200mg Magnesium glycinate/citrate combo, 400mg EGCG, and 500mg ALCAR.
I came up in about 35 minutes, about average for me. The come up hit me quite a bit harder than normal, and my expectations were set high as I attributed this to the supplements. For the first time ever, I actually became slightly overwhelmed by how good I was feeling. There was a period of about 10 minutes where I didn't talk because it disrupted the euphoria that was pulsing through my entire body.
For the next hour I just sat on the couch, enjoying the waves of pleasure and hanging out with a few close friends (one also took MDMA, all others were sober). Unfortunately, once I hit the peak/plateaued, disappointment set in. For the remainder of my roll I couldn't help but notice that, compared to all of my past rolls, this one was very stunted. The euphoria weakened (still definitely present and pleasurable, but weaker) and I had only a slight case of nystagmus. I use the eye wiggles as a gauge of how hard I'm rolling. Usually I have vision problems because they're moving so quickly (which I love), but this time it was barely noticeable. I still had the feeling of weightlessness, and I was couch locked like usual. (I fail to see how people get energized. I guess I would find dancing enjoyable, but I'd much rather just sit and talk.) My roll was also extremely introspective, which has only happened once in the past, and never to this extent. I think part of this is due to who I was around (working through an I-like-you-but-you-don't-like-me situation), but I can't be entirely sure. I still got the empathy that I cherish oh-so-much, but I seemed to have to compete between empathizing with others and looking into myself, which was really annoying. At T+6 I took 5mg of melatonin to help aid sleep and get those delicious anti-oxidants. As a whole, this was a pretty normal roll. I think the supplements weakened it by a bit, which I'm definitely not happy about.
However, when I woke up this morning, holy shit this fucking afterglow. I've never had an afterglow be this strong.
I've never had an afterglow be this strong.
The friend that did MDMA did not supplement. He seemed content with the new dose (I raised it from 120mg to 150) and definitely enjoyed himself more than I did. However, he woke up extremely tired and seemed just generally drained. I still think I'll skip the supplements next time, as dumb as I know it is, because of how much it affected my roll.
Thanks for reading.
TL;DR: I supplemented my MDMA. It weakened the roll, but increased the afterglow a LOT. I probably won't do it again (dumb).
