In quick summary for those of you who want just a sentence or two: I found even large doses of alpha-PHP, or a-PHP, to be rather dull and uninteresting. At times I had a slight body high or tingle going, but besides this I only noticed increased energy and focus. There was no increased euphoria. It was honestly, for me, completely underwhelming, providing nowhere near the amount of speed as methamphetamine, cocaine or the structurally similar substance MDPV. It is useful if you want to get a lot done. I mowed a whole lawn for an hour, I vacuumed for an hour, and did some other chores a few days ago, and I did them readily and easily. I would usually loathe such activities and postpone them but a-PHP sped me up quite a bit and made me do these things almost effortlessly.

Anyway, it's 9:35 and I'm in my house on a boring Monday. I am currently speeding on 290mg a-PHP, which is also sold as 'PV7' by online research chemical vendors. It has been 1 hour and 47 minutes since I parachuted 175mg. I either have an insanely high tolerance (which is likely) or I got weak product (but this seems unlikely as all the darknet vendor's reviews were positive and rated 5/5).

Like x.x, another Erowid author who posted a-PHP observations, I feel I should as well because there is little information on the substance, with no Erowid vault page (as of 6-29-15). It does have a short Wikipedia page however, that states that a-PHP is a synthetic cathinone that was developed in the 1960s and is now being marketed as a designer drug. Wikipedia has several pages on similar substances, known as Pyrrolidinophenones, including a-PVP, a-PPP, and of course, the archetypal 'bath salt,' MDPV.

The online consensus seems to be that doses as low as 10mg seem to produce effects. Doses of 20mg to 50mg are reported to produce strong effects in users. Three days ago, when I first received the product, I did a fair bit over the course of five hours, then took a Seroquel (300mg) to fall asleep. The next day, I did a fair bit as well. In two days I snorted, smoked, and parachuted a total of 1.6 grams. Today I finally decided to measure my dosages, etc., and write this report. At 9:35am I weighed my a-PHP and saw that I had ~633mg. With a cup of coffee, I parachuted 175mg and then watched porn for a 20 minutes. At 9:55 I snorted 65mg. I was feeling speedy within a minute.

At this point I took a dump, slowly gaining speed while sitting on the toilet. After this I went outside and had my first cigarette of the day. It was nice, but not as nice as a cigarette on cocaine, methamphetamine or MDMA. I then wasted 1 hour and 15 minutes on Facebook and in a dictionary app in my phone. Then at 10:50 (ironically exactly 1 hour and 15 minutes ago) I started writing this report after snorting 50mg. I am currently very fidgety, but nevertheless focused, having called my ex-girlfriend and a potential employer. This substance does seem to incite an urge to redose. I am now going to vape some. Although this is my least favorite method, it is claimed online that this method produces the best 'rush.'

I just dosed 30mg of a-PHP, placed it on a rectangular piece of aluminum foil (shiny side down). As I ran a lighter underneath the foil, I used a hollowed out pen tube to inhale the smoke rising up out of the clumpy brownish white powder. Several other authors online, on sites such as Bluelight and Drugs-Forum, have posted that the substance smells like semen. The post-nasal drip and the smoke thus taste as I imagine semen would taste. It is or this reason that vaping it is my least favorite ROA, but this time the 30mg did indeed produce an ample, and proportionally powerful and intense rush. Now, 3 hours and 4 minutes into the experience, I need to go outside and have a cigarette.

At 12:45 I snorted 30mg and then rolled an additional 30mg into a cannabis and tobacco spliff using a cigarette rolling machine. I will now smoke it (after biting and pulling out the filter). My creation (which I am ingeniously dubbing a 'spliph') didn't taste of semen-drenched cannabis as had feared (and as had occured two days earlier. I don't particularly like cannabis, and only put perhaps a .1 or a .2 in the spliph. I walked to my mailbox. It was empty, which bummed me out as I was expecting several packages

This post is getting long and I'm getting distracted. Just under 1 hour ago I got a call from an old buddy (who I used AMT, MDMA, and cocaine with at Electric Forest 2014). We caught up a bit and then much of the past hour has been spent messing around with PGP encryption. I emailed him one of my public keys. Now I have an urge to redose and to smoke. And I just realized that some woman from a counseling firm is coming over to evaluate me or something. I had totally forgotten about this. I'm on a total of 380mg and, well, it just ain't all it's hyped up as, in my opinion. I've never done a-PVP, a-PPP, a-PVT, a-PBP or a-PHP but I have done MDPV, the classic 'bath salt.' I don't remember my dosages of MDPV but I know I prefer it dramatically over this a-PHP.

I'm going to do some more. I think I'll vape again as the last session produced a nice and noticeable rush. I vaped maybe about 30mg of the 40mg I put on some foil. Now it does feel like cocaine, but I'm sure this rush will be short-lived. I'm a bit nervous about having to meet this woman in 7 minutes. I just smoked a regular cigarette outside, dumped the trash, and checked the mail: still nothing, which is perplexing and slightly worrying. In 5 hours and 20 minutes I've consumed a total of 410mg. Now it's been 5 hours and 30 minutes and 460mg total, having just insufflated an additional 50mg. I then took a piss that felt wonderful. It's 3:30pm now and the lady never showed up. But ironically, I got a call from another mental health case manager. I rode my bike for three minutes, feeling pretty speedy, but, being out of shape, quickly returned home. I then saw that I had mail. Yes!

I will end it here. It's 4:19pm, approaching 7 hours since commencement. The feelings of energy and focus have subsided. I'm a bit anxious and uncomfortable. If the comedown is rough I will use lorazepam.
