I am a fairly experienced drug user, I had always been (and still am) into trying new 'legal' drugs. I tried plenty of AL-LAD, LSZ, Hawaiian Baby Woodrose, as far as legal stuff goes. I have also the basic non-legal stuff such as weed and shrooms, nothing too intense though. I wouldn't say I'm a very frequent drug user, probably once every two weeks, and I use mostly psychedelic and hallucinogenic drugs.
One day I attempted to get shrooms from my dealer, as I normally do, only to find out that he had ran out. I was a fan of shrooms at the time. I had only tried it a few times, but was very satisfied with the quality and the high. So I decided to look online for legal hallucinogens similar to shrooms, and I ended up founding a post on a website talking about 4-ACO-DMT, a relatively new research chemical that was an analog of psilocybin, and legal. Needless to say, I was very interested in the concept, and I promptly searched online for a vendor. Within a day I had ordered about 100mg, now I just had to wait for it to arrive.
Now to the day of the trip:
For whatever reason I decided to do 20mg, even though I had never done it before. So, I took out the new scale I had bought to weigh such small amounts, and I attempted to weigh out 20mg. My scale was very finicky, and I had a difficult time measuring out 20mg, so I cant say for sure that what I took was exactly 20mg. After weighing out what I figured to be about 20mg. I took a small 2ml vial I had also bought for this occasion, put the 20mg in, poured in some water and mixed it up. I let it sit for about an hour or so, and I took the time to prepare myself for the trip by getting food and putting on the TV. At roughly 4pm I swigged down the solution I made (which tasted disgusting by the way) and waited for it to set in.
I was feeling pretty decent at the start, pretty tingly, more of a body high, but I figured the effects shouldn't set in for about an hour or so. About twenty minutes after downing the stuff, I started noticing that the characters on TV were looking weird. Their wrinkles seemed to be extremely pronounced, their mouths looked very small, and they just looked significantly older. This was really unexpected for me, because I didn't think the hallucinations would set in this early, so I decided to step outside to calm down. I began to feel extremely tight chested and anxious, mainly stemming from how quickly this was setting in. I tried to put on some music to calm myself down, but to no avail. My vision started to fill up with fractals, it started subtly but by about 40 minutes in my vision was completely clouded, and I started to panic.
I began to wonder if I had taken too much just because of how intense everything was getting. I went inside to try to just watch more TV and maybe calm down, but at about 50 minutes in I decided that it was too much for today, and decided to go to sleep. Keep in mind that it was about 5pm at this point, so when I texted my roommate that 'When you get home I might be asleep, feeling pretty tired' he was fairly weirded out. This was during the summer where for the past several weeks I had been staying up till about 2-3am, but at this point in the trip I saw no other recourse. So I set up my bed, turned off the TV, and tried
to go to sleep. As I tried to sleep I couldn't stay still for more than a few minutes, and kept hearing voices and strange sounds that weren't there. As the visuals got more intense as time progressed, it became incredibly difficult to ignore them and try to fall asleep. I started talking to myself to try to get myself to calm down, I recorded my voice on my phone and talked to myself to try to convince myself that I was still sane, but I was having an incredibly difficult time distinguishing the trip from real life. In the end I just up watched the same Youtube video for about three hours, after making a desperate attempt to communicate with the internet and typing in to Google 'bad trip help'.
All in all I'd say this lasted until about 10pm, where I felt I could operate normally and left my bed to venture for food and water. My roommate came home eventually, he asked me if I was ok and if I wanted dinner. I just responded that I was gonna eat ramen. He kept talking to me about other stuff I didn't understand, so I mostly just kept responding by saying 'I'm probably gonna just have ramen' until he decided to leave me alone.
The hallucinations persisted until I went to bed at about 1am, they had significantly reduced in intensity but they were still there. All in all, I will probably try this again, at a lower dose, and around friends. I think the reason this trip went south so quickly was because I wasn't expecting it to come up so fast. It really hit me like a train. Faster than shrooms. As a first timer I found that 20 mg was far too much. I will try it again, possibly with weed to take the edge off.
