My friend and I were pretty bored during summer break from college, and we had been trying different drugs together for a while, but had ran out of other accessible drugs, so we decided to try DPH. We had no plans for a few days, picked a night and took the pills. I typically have a low tolerance for drugs, so I took 200 mg thinking it wasn't too low compared to the seemingly standard 300 mg dose.

0:00 take 8 pills, shortly after go on a walk while our trip sitter smokes a joint. Sit on a bench for a while talking.

0:34 my friend starts to feel a high of some sort

0:45 I start to feel weird, light headed, similar to how I feel on small doses of cannabis. Shortly afterwards we decide to walk back to my house, though now the sky starts to look surreal. It looked almost like it had been painted on.

1:06 We have arrived back at my house and I feel extremely heavy and tired. Moving around feels very hard and keeping my eyes open is more difficult than it has ever been for me. My friend is acting very paranoid and upset. He is just lying on the couch quietly with his eyes shut. We sit and listen to music on my computer together.

1:52 While I am staring at the towel on top of a shelf in the room, for a second it looks like a battleship from the board game to me, though it fades away quickly.

2:02 my friend hears a cat meow that didn't happen.

4:00 we have sat around listening to music for a few hours now, and the drug seems to have worn off. Everyone leaves my house and I feel pretty normal.

5:30 I go to bed and fall asleep relatively easily.

10:45 I wake up after only 5 hours of sleep before 7 in the morning. I can't fall asleep despite how tired I am so I get out of bed and make breakfast and smoke a joint. I feel hungover and lightheaded, but even worse I am the most depressed emotionally I have been in years. I sit around all day miserable watching TV and smoking because I can't seem to go back to sleep at all. I can't fall asleep until after 4 am the next day, so I was awake for over 21 hours for no reason and I was tired and in pain the whole time. I have a headache that comes and goes in severity for the next 4 days. In this period of time, I feel like a weird distorted version of myself and I didn't ever really feel normal until 6 days had passed after the trip.

THE BOTTOM LINE:
I would not recommend DPH to anyone. The trip was not particularly interesting or fun, and the hangover was terrible. LSD hangovers are shitty, but not nearly as shitty as this one was, and LSD is way more fun.
