Before being diagnosed as bipolar I smoked pot all day every day. It was my sanity. At the beginning of this month I made an attempt on my life. I was diagnosed and shipped of to a mental institution.
Being cut off from cigarettes and drug use I was miserable. They put me on seroquel. I was most likely put on it due to a history of hallucinations during episodes. When I was out I was told not to smoke, due to a bs study of about 20 people saying it made bipolar symptoms worse. Now last night I come back to my friend J's house after the premiere of a movie we were extras in. His sister, S, comes home at about two and I ask to bum a cigarette, missing them so since I'd gone to the hospital.
As soon as we get down to the basement she tells her boyfriend to pack me a bong. More than willing, I accept. My asthma already being bad, I took it with much trouble and dyspnea, but within seconds I feel great. In my mind I debate getting up and finding J. They would more than likely offer me more and I really didnt need it since my tolerance is so low. Eventually, I tell them I'm going back up stair and I'll see them later. J is feeding his dogs and I sit on his couch dazed and vaping. I pull out my phone so I dont feel awkward. My phones colors are vibrant and bright. I begin seeing double and things start getting trippy. I begin to think about how ironic it was that the effects of my antipsychotic meds were completely reversed. I told J I was going to bed and sauntered off to the guest room.
With the lights off things appeared in front of me, faces, hell hounds, glowing planets. I was scared, but easily soothed myself, telling myself I'm in a safe enviroment. My throat was extremely dry. It eventually became hard to keep my eyes open. I submitted and closed them enjoying vibrant visuals. Sometime after I fall asleep, today I woke up feeling completely normal and refreshed.
