8:20pm Been partying. Just got home from a party (had about 6 drinks) and offered Gabapentin (4X600mg). Took it while chilling with friends and the dog and watching football. Never tried Gabapentin, but had researched it and heard from others that it was a stress reducing high. Heard it would be a 1-2 hour onset, so settled in and waited. Lots of experience with Ecstasy, GHB, Marijuana, Mushrooms, and LSD.
T+20 min. Mood lift. Might be psychosomatic, but feels like something is coming on. Having trouble paying attention to the game.
T+30 min. Definitely more empathy than normal. Energy boost. Mildly buzzed before, but suddenly sober and happy. Definitely coming up.
T+60 min. Compelled to listen to music. Poe’s Control. Body high in the limbs. Loving the music. Took Dog out for a walk. Danced with him the whole time (not like me) while listening to the rest of the Album. I have chronic pain in my leg…totally gone.
T+1:20 Things are absolutely fine. Best way I can describe it. And this is rare with me. I’m happy as hell and not worried about anything. 2 More Drinks. Worried about combination with alcohol, but I actually think it’s a good synergy. Wouldn’t drive. Wouldn’t want to be at a party, but it is an awesome lift
T+1:40. Wow. Like ecstasy with no weird come up. No tactile change, but I love everyone.
T+2:00 Walking and motor skills definitely impaired. Took 600mg to boost effects. Listening to music is essential. Can’t imagine not. Sitting next to dog, rubbing his face. Smoking a cigarette definitely amplifies. Feels a little speedy. Petting dog. He is in heaven.
T+2:20 Wowie. For the first time in forever, I feel ok. Not thinking of problems, and when I do, they don’t seem so big. Happy—not my usual state. Very high. Simple tasks seem difficult.
T+2:40 A little plateau. But still happy. Sitting with the dog listening to music.
T+3:00 Loss of coordination, but different than being drunk. I can walk normally If I want to. Some slowness mentally, but negligible. Totally talking up a storm and super social (weird for me). Cigarettes definitely boost the high. This is a drug to sit and snuggle, contemplate not a party drug.
T+4:00 walked to the store with a friend on a beer run. Not awesome, but I usually get shin splints and this time I felt I could walk forever. No pain. Drinking a beer now that we’re back.. Noticed that fine motor skills toast, but can still walk with purpose. I was very social with the clerk at the store. Overall, feeling good. This has a bit of a dissociative vibe like Ketamine—when was walking, I felt like my body was doing it, not me.
T+4:40 a little agitated. Definitely an upper for me. Feels like Adderall right now. Can’t focus on TV.
T-5:00 This is fantastic. Like a break from my worries. I’m sure it will be harsh when it wears off, but for now—Pure Energy.
T-5:30 Coming down a bit. Still speedy. Not remotely tired even with the alcohol. Actually hungry. Going to make a sandwich.
T 5:50 Might be peak. Tremendous well being… I wish I could explain.
T-6:00 Getting tired. Might be coming down. Totally falling asleep. BEST drug ever.
T-13:00 Slept well. Woke up feeling great, optimistic. No crash yet or negative side effects. Would totally do again. The come down is abrupt, I passed out. NOT a party drug. Definitely more of a chill with my friends drug.
Retrospective: Would totally do again. Stress=gone. Pain=gone. Not an everyday thing, but once in a while when I want to stay home and need some perspective on life or relief from pain, might be a good option. Looking forward to the next time, but no need to do it again right now.
