Seeing My Surroundings Almost Perfectly
Sleep Paralysis / Dreaming / OBE

First Out of Body Experience

This started because a maid was cleaning my room and I was laying on the couch downstairs waiting. This was my second experience with sleep paralysis and I have since experienced it once more.

I should also mention that this was much more vivid and lasted probably around 3 or 4 times longer than my first experience.

I was about to fall asleep on the couch downstairs by the fireplace and I decided to get up to get a drink, before I got up I noticed little teeny tiny bugs crawling in and out of the fabric of the couch and the pillow, so I thought great I’ve been laying in bugs, which made me just want to get up more. (of course my eyes were closed throughout this, although I was seeing my surroundings almost perfectly while hallucinating small bugs crawling throughout the fabric of the couch

So I got up and saw my phone next to my moms phone on the counter and I picked it up, then immediately my eyes were closed again so I sat up and I opened my eyes and I was on the couch again, I didn’t know what happened so I just brushed it off and got up and got my phone again.

I started to feel weird and when I got my phone I got trapped in a cord coming from nowhere, which I assumed was the phone cord, and my eyes were closed again, but this time instead of moving first I opened my eyes.

Once again I had been transported back into my body laying on the couch, except this time I could not move, I could open my left eye almost fully and my right eye was sitting there all squinty. I probably looked like I was having a stroke. This would have looked scary to someone who had just came into the room. I kept trying to get up because I wanted something to drink, but I could not move. This was very scary, as I was in a dreamlike state that felt almost hypnotic and I was not sure what was happening.

I'm not sure how many times I got up and was teleported back into my body, but I can remember those two times and believe it happened at least 4 times. I was really confused and quite spooked.

I tried waving my arm in front of my face, and I could feel it moving back and forth in front of me, but as I looked with my eyes I saw that my arm was in fact not moving, Although I could feel it physically moving. I was unable to speak or move my eyes either. This was when I began to realize what was going on.

I realized that when my eyes were open I couldn’t move at all and that I only ever got somewhere when my eyes were closed, so I closed my eyes and got up and walked to my kitchen. I could feel and see myself moving just like the other times, and there was not a thing out of place.

When I got into the kitchen I opened my eyes, and was transported back to the couch again. This time I could open my eyes fully and was able to move like normal. I got up and my phone was not where I had seen it while out of my body, but everything else was right where I saw it.

This kind of disappointed me. I felt as if I was on the cusp of astral projection and opening my eyes in that moment ruined it.

Since this experience I have experienced it once more, but my last experience with it was much less vivid and a lot weirder, only lasting for a few seconds. In those few seconds I felt sheer terror and panic.

I hope to experience this again so that I can try to control it and astral project.
