This is one of the few drugs, that I cant find use for. I asked my pharmacist to recommend me some hypnotics since doxylamine and diphehydramine are not available in my country. The best he could do was some 1mg alprazolam pills, valerian and 15mg dividose buspirone tablets, that closely resemble these 2mg Xanax bars. I bought everything that was offered, and he assured me that even though buspirone is an anxiolytic its prescribed off label for sleep.

I took 5mg the first night and did not feel much. By 11PM (3 hours after ingestion) I finally got tired, and fell asleep shortly after that. I dont have major trouble sleeping, and falling asleep by 11PM is nothing unusual for me.

The second night I took 7.5mg. The bar had a line made for seperating exactly that amount. I suppose I felt a little exhausted but calm after an hour, but nothing major.

Today, three hours ago I decided to give it one last try and take a single dose of 15mg. I feel exhausted, as if I just had a very long day, with a hint of nausea and the type of headache I get when I'm exhausted at the end of a day. A slight pressure, some light sensitivity. The tiredness is similar to the foggy feeling I get from a low dose of an anticholinergic or sedating antihistamine.
Even though I am calmer, I am not more apathetic which is unlike any other anxiolytic. The words arent flowing. I feel like I am overexhausted from a long day and cant function anymore. Writing this is complicated even though words usually flow and make more sense.

I hope this report isnt all over the place, but if it is, it shows how the drug affects me. In conclusion it makes me tired in a bad way. Even first generation antihistamines are more enjoyable than this. I can go to sleep, but its not worth it.
