Retired Veteran on disability. Severe osteoarthritis in hips knees, and shoulders. Both hips replaced. 10% right kidney removed for cancer (severe cramps near the remaining kidney). Anxiety and depression. Spend 97% of time sitting watching TV due to the pain and anxiety. Frequently turn off deplorable CNN channel.

On doctors script for 600mg Gabapentin per day. Read many user reports and learned that a dose of 3000mg might provide relief.

Hr0: Started with 2400 mg.
Hr1: Starting to feel a bit better.+600mg =3000mg total.
Hr2: Feeling much better. Start socializing with family, reminiscing, little pain, little anxiety. +600mg = 3600mg total. Put new strings on my guitar which I hadn't played for nearly a year. Tuned it up and wrote the first verse of a new song. Took the family of 3 on a 5 mile bike ride (My wife and I ride 3 wheel recumbent bikes). This included getting the bike down from the rack (which I always had to have my wife do) and pumping up the tires. I hadn't felt like riding my bike in months. I pump the tires up fast until they nearly popped! Yes, I am high but the important factor here is the Fantastic Relief!

Hr6: Back from the bike ride. I lead the way with the wife and 3 grand kids. The wife couldn't keep up but the grand kids passed me going up a big hill. Then there is nothing like going down a big hill an 40MPH on a recumbent bicycle with the wind nearly blowing off your helmet and passing up cars. Control of the bike is perfectly steady. No safety risk unless a tire blew. Great energy and enthusiasm! Now writing this report. A bit hard to focus on the text. Typing is OK but a bit sloppy and frequently using the auto correction feature. All pain, anxiety, and depression is gone.

Hr7: Finished writing. It took 1/2 hr to write. Going back to the guitar. There is nothing like the sound of a good $3000 Martin guitar with new strings. The harmonics are unbelievable. Thinking also of rosining up the bow getting down the fiddle.

Definitely going to ask my doctor to increase the prescribed dose. I think I need about 1800 to 2400 mg per day. My wife has been taking 2400mg/day for years so there’s dozens of bottles around some half full since she's missed many takings over the years. DAMN! I'm just lucky! I may take this 3600mg dose or maybe just 3000mg on special occasions like family reunions, birthdays, etc. which is plenty with 4 kids and 9 grand kids.
