I started wellbutrin/bupropion at 150mg almost two weeks ago for depression. I've been on it before recently, so nothing new there.
Yesterday I snorted some amphetamine (relatively pure), a few small lines. I was worried of lowering the seizure threshold too much so I took it easy, but I didn't even get twitches, so I kept going and took a new line about every third hour. All in all I got the regular effects, except maybe a bit more of the hyperfocus, so much that I felt like I had tunnel vision at one point which caused some derealization, but nothing bothersome.
I took 0,75mg of xanax/alprazolam (I don't have much tolerance, if any), and 5mg of valium/diazepam at about t+14h and went to bed t+15h, and fell asleep at once.
Today I have still felt speeded. As I'm writing this, it's been 36h since I snorted the first line.
I felt really good when waking up, even though I had expected to wake up to the full blast of comedown-anxiety. I took the wellbutrin as usual in the morning. Later on I met a person whom I don't really like, but had a fun time with them anyway and didn't feel drained by them, which never happens otherwise. I have felt unusually functional and upbeat. I've had no appetite today either, and still have some of the hyperfocus, and time is just swooshing by. I feel kind of rejuvenated, and I did last time I snorted a lot too, but not like this. I did not get dilated pupils yesterday, but have had today, and when I looked in the mirror an hour ago I did have the typical speed-stare still.
So it seems it had some kind of synergy, causing the effects to linger somehow. Next time I will try taking smaller doses of amphetamine to see if the hyperfocus can be a bit less intense.
