I procured three 300mg capsules of Gabapentin, I plead the 5th as to how. I took all 3 of them around noon on a day where I had nothing planned.

It took a while to kick in, perhaps 2 hours. But once it did, the experience was remarkable. I felt a sort of focused, hypomanic state. I spent a lot of time just browsing the internet and getting small but noticeable kicks of euphoria when I found what I was looking for. Many other testimonials say they felt more sociable, and I think I would have been too, but I didn't interact with anyone.

To give you an idea of the mindset, at the height of the plateau, I remembered that I needed to do the dishes. I thought to myself, 'I AM GOING TO DO THE F*** OUT OF THESE DISHES.' I washed them as I normally would, but felt more satisfaction from it than I normally would.

It wasn't entirely positive. Although I felt intensely focused and free from my usual anxieties, I don't think I could have turned it into something productive. I just jumped from one activity to another as my interest saw fit. I also experienced heart palpitations and a noticeable rise in blood pressure. These negative effects weren't so worrisome that I felt like I was in danger.

The comedown was pretty gentle. I just started to notice that I wasn't intensely focused on my actions anymore. There were no noticeable aftereffects.

Overall Gabapentin is an interesting experience, something like a combination of alcohol and Adderall without the intoxicating effects. I may take Gabapentin again if I'm going to a party, just to see how I socialize while on it. I don't plan on using it regularly, or even occasionally. It was a novel experience but not useful for enriching my life.
