I was in my house looking through my herbs and I decided to bite the bullet and do Datura. I had tried it in a very, very small dose last year so I basically had no experience.

I placed one small datura metel leaf in my grinder with some cannabis, pipe tobacco, indian tobacco (lobelia), passion flower and chamomile. After grinding it up, I decided to give it a smell before packing. It smelled very strongly of fruit and celery with a hint of skunky weed smell.

I packed a medium bowl and smoked all of it within ten minutes. Almost immediately, I felt a sense of confusion, euphoria and slight heaviness. As time passed, I was seeing some visual distortions but in my head they weren’t hallucinations. It’s hard to explain but essentially they felt very normal and non-concerning. Despite forgetting some things and moving a bit slowly I was incredibly relaxed and decided to vibe out to music for about two hours. At this point, the body high felt like a medium dose of kratom and the distortions were a slightly different DXM trip. I slept like I was a corpse and then woke up very early and my pupils kept dilating independently. (It was as cool as it sounds) By this point, I felt pretty decent.

Unfortunately, the next 3 days I didn’t feel like myself and kept feeling insanely tired and a little depressed. Interestingly enough, I had a job interview in NYC the morning after I took the datura and I’m pretty sure for some of the questions I was asked I gave very confident and detailed answers that didn’t really answer the question or make sense. This was especially funny to think about because my resume is pretty impressive and I definitely seemed qualified, but certain things just didn’t make too much sense.

Would I do it again?

Probably, but not for awhile. As an avid psychonaut, I can say that there isn’t really any reason to do ridiculous doses of this poisonous plant. 1 small leaf had a pretty profound effect and I think it would've been worse without the weed and other herbs.

Coming from someone who does at least 5 drugs a day not including medications, this is not your average drug, it is a poisonous deliriant. Be careful and don't try to impress anyone on this.
