The moment they kicked in it felt like I was being slowed down by something. I remember feeling incredibly relaxed if not a bit tired and sleepy, like I had to lay down. I felt very happy and like I had the urge to smile a lot. We watched a few YouTube videos and turned the lights off. We opted to watch an hour long vaporwave music video and we finished the entire thing but all I could do was stare blankly at the TV with my mouth gaping open- to the point where drool was actually pouring out of my mouth and onto the couch. I felt like I had been drinking water but in reality I was just drooling all over myself. The hour long video felt like 10 minutes and I only really remember a good minute of it. Throughout the night there would be other sections that were hazy the next morning or that I would entirely forget happened.
After cleaning the drool off myself, I stood up and felt very relaxed. Music was playing and I just felt the need to sway lightly back and forth to the song. It felt really good to do. I borrowed a pair of earbuds from my friend and listened to some music on my phone before I had the amazing idea of listening to rain sounds. It was a heavenly experience. I felt like my brain was being tickled by the raindrops and it felt so good to listen to. I felt incredibly sleepy and relaxed and I closed my eyes and just listened to the sounds.
After a few friends started to get to sleep for the night, another one of my friends loaded up Tetris on the computer and started to play a few rounds. I had a short conversation with him before sitting back down, only to feel a sort of compulsive urge to get up and have the same exact conversation with him again. It felt really good to do something in repetition while I was high so I would often say the same thing to myself or other people over and over. I was laying down on the couch and kept repeating “Guys” over and over again because it felt so good to say (much to the chagrin of my friends who kept telling me to be quiet).
It was about 4 hours into my high now and I was growing a little tired of it. I had been high for so long and most of my friends were asleep or getting there so it felt like there was not much for me to do. I wanted to come back down to reality so I decided to try and get some sleep. It took a little while for me to really relax and get to bed but once I did I was out like a light.
When I woke up a few hours later it was around 5 am - and I was still high. The high was different though, it felt more like a hangover than a high. I was much more in control of my body and thoughts but I felt washed out and like I couldn’t focus on things. This feeling persisted for hours into the next day. I managed to drive home okay and for the most part I felt fine- just very exhausted and out of focus. I got some more sleep back in my own bed and woke up feeling much better.
Overall, my first time with cannapills was a mostly positive one. I didn’t like the feeling of being washed out the next morning but the high after eating them was incredibly strong and fantastic. That was, until the second time I decided to try them.
A couple weeks later, me and the same group of friends wanted to try them again so we got some. Unbeknownst to me at the time, after one of my friends bailed last minute, instead of just scrapping the pill he had made for the friend who bailed, the dealer split that pill into two separate ones- meaning two of the pills had a much stronger dose than the others. Unknowingly, I ended up eating one of the extra dose ones.
The time it took to kick in was a bit longer for some reason, this time being around 45 minutes rather than 30. Once it kicked in, it felt the same as last time for the most part. I felt incredibly relaxed and happy and decided to listen to some music. I vividly remember listening to “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” by Roy Ayers when the bad high began to happen.
I was listening to the song through earbuds and leaned back on the couch. As I did that, I felt like my soul was floating out of my body. This feeling freaked me out and I suddenly felt out of control of my body in general. I began to breakout into a hot flash and my heart started beating very fast. I didn’t know what was happening (later learned it was a panic attack) and that freaked me out even more.
I didn’t know what was happening (later learned it was a panic attack) and that freaked me out even more.
It got worse when I turned to my left to see that my friends sister had come downstairs without me noticing- and it freaked me out because I started to fear that she would tell his parents what was going on and I would get in trouble. She asked us if we were hungry and my friend asked her if she could get him ice cream from the fridge across the basement. She did and he gave the ice cream to me. I ate the entire cone in a minute because I was afraid it would look suspicious if I took a long time to eat it.
She went back upstairs after a bit and I stood up and began to walk over to where the fridge was. On my way, I brushed my leg against an air hockey table and tasted plastic in my mouth. That’s when I told myself that I was way too high and that I was never going to take these pills ever again. I feared that I might die.
I opened the fridge to get something to drink and my vision for a split second zoomed into the fridge before zooming back out to normal. It weirded me out and I got a drink and began to drink it. As I drank it, I could only feel it in the bottom half of my mouth. The top half felt numb- it was a really weird sensation.
At this point it had been about an hour since I first felt the effects so I decided to close my eyes and go to bed to sleep it off. After waking in and out of sleep, I managed to finally get to bed until the morning. I woke up with the same washed out feeling I experienced the first time with the pills except this time I was so happy to still be alive after what happened the night before.
It was such a horrible strong experience and I have not done an edible since and probably never will again unless it’s an incredibly small amount. To conclude, cannapills gave me a very long and strong high- but it can be a nightmare high because of its strength.
