Last night I cooked up 1 gram of fly agaric for the purposes of smoking and reducing menstrual pain. I heated it at 150-175 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes, occasionally stirring the fly agaric. After letting it cool, I took about half of what I cooked, and put it in a pipe to smoke with a small amount of cannabis.
While the smoke didn't taste bad, the smoke was harsh on my lungs. I finished smoking my bowl within minutes, as fly agaric seems to burn quickly. While I did notice some immediate effects, such as lightheadedness and mood improvement, I couldn't get over the accelerated heartbeat it gave me. Luckily, it didn't trigger a panic attack, but it could have if I continued smoking the material. For me, it didn't seem worth risking a panic attack over that mild of a high, as I would need to smoke a large amount of fly agaric for it to work. I decided to just orally consume the rest of my material
I decided to just orally consume the rest of my material
Within the next few hours, there was an improvement in my general state, and it seemed to help distract me from the menstrual pain I was in. Enough so, that I could go about other activities, without being focused on the pain. While none of this was particularly noteworthy for a microdose experiment, about three hours in I noticed a substantial decrease in my pain levels. As I'm not sure if this was related to the fly agaric or not, I'll have to repeat this method to see if I get that amount of pain relief again. But I'll be sticking to taking my fly agaric orally, as smoking it was too uncomfortable to be a worthwhile venture for me.
