I have smoked pipe tobacco on and off for about twenty years, never in large amounts nor regularly. When I smoke a strong pipe tobacco blend, roughly thirty hours later I get an incredibly intense euphoria which lasts up to two weeks, and persists even through sleep. It is a feeling of general well being as intense as anything. I am not sure if this is due to being very well muscled, and avoiding any other mind altering substance than tobacco. I find even alcohol very unpleasant.

The tobacco causes a sense of very sharp mental acuity as well, which is like a more intense sobriety, than regular sobriety. I have found that repeated smoking does not increase the depth of the euphoria nor detract from it, so I only smoke once every 2 weeks.
I only smoke once every 2 weeks.
It does however change slightly with nasal snuff tobacco, making it last longer, a day or two, with nasal snuff used when it begins to wear off. I have also combined the euphoria with meditation, which has caused the state in and of itself without the tobacco, but requires several hours of meditation, which causes the feeling to arise unexpectedly. The feelings of colossal peace and wellbeing can become so intense that it interferes with day to day activities, but it seems to be slightly increased when driving, or any other task involving alertness and concentration. I have not read of this occuring to many persons, so I believe that nicotine affects different people differently.

High level mathematics, and other cognative problem solving seem to be very easy while in this euphoric state.

I believe further research into the effects of Nicotine is needed, due to my experience with it.
