300 mg oral Pharms - Pregabalin

I have been interested in pregabalin for a while. Having tried almost every drug under the sun, pregabalin was one of the few substances I had never tried up to this point.

To give you a bit of background as to why I tried pregabalin: one week prior I had acquired some "xanax" from my dealer as I had been experiencing some general anxiety issues. Very soon I realised these were pressed pills, containing some kind of rc-benzo far stronger than alprazolam. I took half a pill each day for three days. On the fourth day I stopped taking these "xanax" and experienced the worst withdrawal of my life. (I was addicated to benzos in my early 20s, and this withdraw was far worse than when I went cold turkey from a two year 10mg a day etizolam addiction.)

Which leads me on to pregabalin. I had heard it was helpful for benzo withdrawal, after a week of awful withdrawals I was able to obtain three 300mg pregabalin pills from a friend.

I took one 300mg pill at 3pm alone in my room. At 4PM I began to feel slight nausea and dizziness.
I took one 300mg pill at 3pm alone in my room. At 4PM I began to feel slight nausea and dizziness.

Over the next couple of hours this feeling increased. Although the nausea subsided somewhat, the dizzy feeling increased dramatically. The best way to describe this would be a mixture of seasickness and drunkenness.

However I experienced absolutely zero euphoria. The drug does seem to have a strong anti-anxiety effect as I felt extremely relaxed and care free, In a similar way to benzos. But the dizziness was so overwhelming that it made it impossible for me to enjoy the anti-anxiety properties of this substance.

Walking around was similar to a low dose of ketamine. I felt slightly disconnected from my body and was stumbling everywhere. However unlike ketamine there was no interesting cognitive effects such as euphoria or "trippy" feelings. My mind felt completely sober aside from the constant dizziness.

I called my girlfriend and we talked for an hour. I did find that I was much more sociable and talked alot. However it was almost as though I was unaware of how much I was talking, like I was disconnected from myself. Having someone to talk with definitely distracted me from the dizziness and helped to reduce the overwhelming sensations.

I did notice some minor tactile effects such as tingling in my hands and feet and occasional neurological twitching. However this seemed to come and go, and was not really that interesting.

Which leads me to where we are now. It has been 5 hours since I took the substance and I can feel the effects diminishing rather rapidly. I do not feel so much dizziness and it is much easier to walk around and generally function. So far I have not experienced any hangover or after effects.

SUMMARY:
All in all I would say this substance is not worth taking in a recreational setting. There seems to be little to no euphoria or "good feelings" and the dizziness is very overpowering, it has somewhat eased the benzo withdrawals
it has somewhat eased the benzo withdrawals
, insofar as I feel relaxed and dont feel miserable. But I would not say that it has "cured" the withdrawal symptoms.

However I do feel that this substance may be useful in a medical setting at much lower doses. For treating anxiety and easing benzo withdrawal. I may try much lower doses in the future, however I certainly wont be using this drug recreationally again.
