Going to sleep, I decided to listen to electronic music. The goal was to get into the feeling of the song and the space of it. I feel a wave of shock and my arm spasm; then I am paralysed. Usually, I do not get a surge of shock falling asleep while maintaining awareness. The shock hitting my consciousness I describe is a similar feeling I get on mushrooms when a presence meets me after calling out into the unknown.

Entering my dream, I was flying over boundless plains. I eventually see a floating mandala tree, it was deep purple, and one of the most beautiful things I have seen in my life. I tend to believe mandalas in dreams are significant. I soon stumbled upon a castle built with bricks of sandstone and had walls connecting different sections. It was something of a hidden fortress.

Suddenly, I find myself peaking on a high dose of LSD. It was the cleanest feeling I have experienced on LSD. I feel incredibly open, beautiful and paralysed by the astonishment of the place I find myself.

Multiple steep mountains surrounded the castle. They are near each other, and all vary in height. These mountains are not natural landforms. They are entirely alien. Their form was not smooth in any way, and they are instead composed of geometrical shapes, most notably hexagons similar to what I see on LSD + phenethylamines (notably MDMA or Mescaline).

I entered the castle and floated up a spiral staircase; I had no idea where this path would take me. At the top, I found myself on top of a connecting section of the castle; a wall. I was floating above it, and there are boundless plains in this place decorated with flowers. Around the fields are mountains as already described. They are concealing the structure as well as the area in general. As if the castle is the gateway to this field, this view, this experience of being; it is a sacred place.

There is a varying depth of fog on the ground level, and clouds were slightly above and in line with eye level. This castle is tall! I can hear the music I am listening to within the dream. I am fully lucid. The fog is dancing to the beat; the clouds are shifting to the bass and rays of sunlight are passing through, taking on colour. The fog and clouds are in sync, changing colours depending on the tonality, vibrance and dance of the playing song. The mountains are breathing.

I feel entirely safe here despite not having a body, and I am abundant of love and joy. I will never forget this gift of the experience of identity dissolution and total peace within. Words can only describe this experience, I was there for an eternity, and nothing will ever be close to the real thing. I strongly feel this place exists. I remember going there in the same way I do any other place.

Once on LSD, I read brief notes I had taken after this dream. Each sentence gave me a fragment and suddenly I was sent there again and experienced it, this time while in a fully conscious state. It was not a dream.

How can I go to a place that I can only dream of first?

It is truly a gift. Without this dream, I would never have known this place exists.
