5:37pm: I began to get some anxiety, so I decided to put on some music. The anxiety may or may not have been linked to taking the drug, as I have been experiencing anxiety attack-esque symptoms for a few weeks now. I decided to lay on my bed to calm myself down.
5:47pm: The planet stickers I stuck onto my ceiling are beginning to move around and shift in my peripherals. There is some slight room distortion. I am still experiencing some heavy anxiety, so I continue laying on my bed and trying to relax. My heart is racing like it does on the come-up of LSD, and usually coming up on LSD I am plastered to the bed and cannot get up.
6:11pm: The room is breathing! The sun is out, and it is a clear day, so I am having a lot of appreciation for nature right now. EiPLA is starting to kick in as I’m seeing some minor visuals, like the come-up of an LSD trip.
6:46pm: No more anxiety! The trip is now very much like an acid trip, the patterns and body feelings are very similar. Unlike LSD there is no eye dilation!
6:54pm: Anxiety has given way to pleasurable surging! I am now up and moving around, enjoying the brightness and comfort of my room. I feel interconnected with everything!
7:11pm: I’m starting to get the same swirly visuals as I do on LSD, as well when I close my eyes, I feel like I’m dissolving into the world. The planet stickers on my ceiling are shifting around and patterns are starting to appear on the borders. Jupiter looks like a face to me. I decide to draw out EiPLA and LSD to compare the molecules.
7:44pm: I went downstairs to the kitchen. I’ve never tripped inside my own house before, so it was a surreal experience! I ate a banana and went outside to get the mail, stopping to step in the grass, admire the greenery and blow on some dandelions.
7:55pm: My mom came into my room to hem my work pants. She had me thread a needle for her, which was easier than I expected it to be, considering I was tripping. I would say at this point I was peaking.
8:10pm: I called my SO, with a bit of confusion setting up discord. I found that I was crying quite often, as any small thing would evoke tears! Though part of this may be watery eyes as well.
8:30pm: I feel like I’m coming down at this point, but not exactly as I’m still getting decent visuals.
8:45pm: I’ve noticed that every time I get high on something, there’s a weird feeling in my sinus area, almost a sharp feeling but not quite.
9:31pm: I played some Minecraft Zombie Survival, while my SO played Rocket League while we were calling each other. It was a simple game of running if you were with the humans or chasing the humans if you were a zombie – like a virtual tag. The novelty enhancement was very strong, as I was raving to my SO about how fun it was and how I used to be involved in the community, as well as trying to get them to join and play with me. At this point I feel like I am on the comedown, as I get a very particular feeling in my pharynx when I do.
9:51pm: The strange feeling in my pharynx/back of the throat has increased, signalling that I am coming down.

10:30pm: I decide that I need to eat something and go down to the kitchen for a banana. I always feel sketchy and uncomfortable during psychedelic comedowns, so I decide to take a shower. The water feels nice on my skin. After I decide to get ready for bed, but the sketchy feeling leaves me rolling around a little and browsing social media in bed.
1:08am: I still can’t sleep, so I decide to get up and edit a photo album I’m making. I decide to go back to bed after two pages, where I fall asleep a little easier.
Conclusion: Compared to LSD, EiPLA would be like its younger sibling. It has a much smoother come-up, less intense visuals and a smoother comedown. There is minimal headspace and I was able to present as relatively sober in front of parents. It also has less of a body load. LSD tends to give me a little bit of a gut ache, whereas this did not – only at the end did I experience some gas pains when I was trying to sleep, but this could also be because of my anxiety. As well, I did not experience exhaustion like I would the day after LSD – in fact I had a good sleep and woke up well rested.
