DOSE:
4 - 6 mg insufflated Pharms - Buprenorphine (daily)
BODY WEIGHT: 195 lb
I was a heroin addict a few years ago and I knew I nonstop carousel ride of hell. Especially being addicted to heroin. I was using for a about a year and noticed it was just getting worse. This addiction to opioids began from an accident on an ATV and I was prescibed Norcos for months. This turned into taking higher doses to achieve pain relief and that heavenly warm feeling. This turned into snorting dilaudid, buying poppy pods online to make tea, to then buying bulk lightly washed seeds from European grocery stores. This method works almost every time. If I'm hurting this will definitely help remove that withdrawal.

When using heroin on a habitual basis, I'm constantly sick until I get my daily bag. It was absolute hell being dope sick on a daily basis until I could come up with $120 to buy a pack in the city which was a daily 2+ hour round trip. Many time this amount was larger but the problem with that is I just end up doing more. I knew this was going to end either in prison, overdosing, being killed, or suffering a life changing injury. I wanted out and finally heard about Suboxone. This medication saved my life and it also brought a new addiction. This addiction I'm able to function on as opposed to the one on heroin. I've slipped up by stopping Suboxone and few times so I would rather be a functioning citizen that contributes to society.

The dosage that got me off was a build up to 24mg over 2-3 hours in sublingual form prescribed by a doctor.

*Warning - if your going to try this method, please make sure your in complete withdrawal for at least a good 36-48 hours. If you don't like I had done which was about 24 hours, and this was recommended by my doctor, and it was not enough time. What happened was I had the absolute worst withdrawals I have ever experienced and I was warned by the doctor that this would happen if I did not wait at least 24 hours. Definitely wait at least 48 hours if you can. You might be going thru hell but that hell is paradise compared to taking suboxone too soon. The absolute worst withdrawal symptoms from Subs was insane! Restless leg syndrome was horrible. It was so bad that I had to lay stomach down on my bed and with as much force as I could come up with I began kicking the bed like I wanted to break the mattress. I was doing this because I also felt like my body wanted to jump out its skin. Literally. This was on top of all the normal heroin withdrawal symptoms. This went on for a good 3-4 hours as the dosage increased in 2mg increments every 15 minutes. Once I hit 24mg it was like I was reborn without any addiction. I couldn't believe the way I had felt.

I've been on Suboxone for 8 years and now my dose is 2mg x 3 times a day. I've also been clean from heroin or any other opioids for the same time with a couple slip ups in there that only lasted a few days.

In my experience, the only negative side effect from Suboxone besides it being a new addiction is the headache I get from it when taking sublingually and this began after I was on it for a few months

. This was not pleasant and I needed to address this. I tried the generic Suboxone to see if it would help and all it did is give me withdrawals from the buprenorphine. It's definitely weaker almost to the point of needing a dose that's more that twice as much as my normal Suboxone dose. I stick with name brand strips. I still have a headache and I really don't want to get off this medication (I've had a couple relapses in the past getting off of it) and I can't have that happen again. I read that someone had the same issue and they showed another method of taking their dose that would not give them a headache. I had to try this.

I needed a dull children's medication plunger (I believe it goes up to 10ml), Saline solution and my strips of Subs. The best part about this method is not only do I not get a headache but I can take a lower dose and achieve the same good effects. The dose can be cut in half. I now take 4-6 mg instead of 8mg sublingually.

I cut my 8mg strip into 4 pieces and cut those in half into 1mg doses. I place the small 1mg strip into a spoon and add about 9 to 10 drops of Saline solution. I let this sit for about 5 minutes and stir it with the plunger until its fully dissolved. I pull the solution into the plunger, lie back at an upward 45° angle and slowly introduce the solution into my nostril while having my head titled to the side of the nostril I'm using. I let this absorb for about 20-30 minutes until dry or almost dry. I've been using this method method headache free for years and I'm using a lower dose. I will never take Suboxone under my tongue ever again.

Be safe and always do your research. Hopefully this helps someone that's hurting.
