This is a recollection of experiences I had about 15 years ago when I was in high school. A good friend of mine's father was in the gas business, so we used to take his keys and go to the shop and get 15lb cannisters of Nitrous. This happened on a regular basis for about six months.

We would have Nitrous parties at his house where we would fill large balloons with Nitrous and huff them, sometimes for hours. We often played trippy records such as Whale songs or bagpipes to enhance the experience. This often left us cold and groggy to say the least in the end, but these trips were extremely intense.

The thing about doing nitrous in such large quantity (rather than whippets) was that one could take the drug pretty much farther. I have done other drugs and hallucinogens but nitrous is the only drug that I have done where I found god. During a session one evening I remember going to a place that was profoundly religious. In this hovering state I remember figuring everything out. It was all very clear. The unfortunate thing about this drug was that upon sobering up I could not take that place with me. But even now 10+ years later that place is still burned in my memory. The other feelings in subsequent trips would take me to that plane but never to the intensity of that night.

As a whole the experience over that six months was very positive. Eventually my friend and I moved apart and towards the end the nitrous starting making me nauseous while doing it. I feel lucky to have had this experience.
