Profound Sedation
Methadone & Alcohol

DOSE:
15 mg rectal Methadone (pill / tablet)
6 shots oral Alcohol - Hard (liquid)
BODY WEIGHT: 156 lb
I got the methadone, in pill form (Methadose) from my uncle. He doesn't know. They were 10 mg pills, so I broke broke 1.5 pills up into little pieces and plugged them up (yeah, it was just as unpleasant as it sounded, but I didn't want to lose any of the drug in the digestive tract). I went down stairs and waited for the Vicodin-like sedation to begin. I watched the movie Blow for awhile, then went upstairs to check my Nursing handbook of prescription drugs to see if Methadone and Ethanol interact. The book said something like 'use together with caution: may cause profound sedation.' I figured profound sedation sounded pretty damn fun. I started downing shots of hard liquor. After awhile, the alcohol set in and the profound sedation began. The closest thing I can compare it to is a Dex high, but that wasn't really close. It was great. I felt the regular calm, warm, protected Methadone feeling, but I also had the depressed alcohol feeling. It was blissful.

The next day was another story. I woke up shaking and tingly. Not unpleasant, but not that great. The out-of-it feeling lasted all day. I was also really tired and apathetic. Suffice it to say I didn't feel or act normal until about 6 the morning after that day. Fun time, bad hangover.
