Here's a little poetic sumpn' sumpin' about ice.

Here I am again. . .
Everything's finished. . .laundry done three times over, bathroom scrubbed naked white, dishes sparkling compulsively in the drain board.

It's all quiet. . .I'm alone but I have my friend with me. . .she's rolled up in that same damned dirty pen cap that I've been using for the past month.

I tap her out and the tap tap tapping resounds in this habitual monologue in the bathroom behind who's door I am discreetly and safely locked.

She's free now, and she takes a crackling breath as I pinch open her plastic blouse and eye her ever diminishing amount of contentment.

Into her I dive with the cap and then BUMP, Bump, bump...she's got me. Got me wrapped up in that spinning msile that'll never go away as long as you've got friends or a job that you keep up with to take her out when she calls.

She'll always like you, and she'll always be there. . .she is the MOTHER that we all run back to. . .sweet words and oblivion are her promises to us. . .but never resolution. . .just that same lonely ritual enacted for nobody or nothing's sake but forgetting.

Party all night, but the world will still be there to hound you with your demons when you crash out, sober up, and hunt for that next bag.

***Anyway, that is just how I feel about crystal, or Tina as we homos call her.
