I had bought a Brugmansia plant a few months earlier but had always been a little reluctant to try it after reading about some of the possible side effects and how dangerous it can be. I finally got up the courage and picked four flawers from the plant and boiled them for about 10 minutes in a liter of water. I started drinking it very slowly and had downed about 1/4 of the entire batch in about 20 minutes. I started feeling a little fuzzy about like a typical marijuana high so I knew it was working but it didn't seem to be getting any stronger so I drank another cup the same size and after about 15 minutes my vision started to go blurry and I couldn't walk straight at all. At this point it seemed to be a little like being drunk but I was much more aware. As the night went on my balance got much worse to the point were I had trouble walking from one side of the house to the other. I had to be very careful not to stand in one place for too long because I would begin to lean one way and not realize it, and before I could react I was on the ground (this happened about 5 times). Besides my motor skills going to shit, I had a very short attention span and a horrible memory. I would start to play a song on the guitar and then would get to a certain part and forget what song I was playing. I could see my reflection in the mirror and thought it was one of my friends, but as I was having a conversation with him I realized he was making all the exact same hand gestures as I was and then I realized it was me. When I went to bed I couldn't sleep so I had about a two hour conversation with two of my friends who were on the floor. The next day I realized that I hadn't had any friends over and I was just talking to myself. It was a little intense and there were a few points during the night that I had lost touch with reality but all around it was an experience that I would like to do again sometime.
