Pt. 1
I obtained a piece of San Pedro about a foot long weighing about 2.5 pounds. After cutting off the woody end, there was approx. 2 pounds left. I washed off the dirt and removed the spines by cutting a V-groove along the ridges with a razor blade.
I then cut the material into stars 1/4 inch thick. I placed them in a dehydrator to remove all of the water. While cutting the stars, I realized the core was soft right up into the last couple inches. I removed the core only where it was hard enough to present a problem.
After the slices were dry, I placed them into an industrial strength blender with enough lemon juice to blend it into a green paste. I placed this back into the dehydrator on a tray and reduced it to 40 grams of what looked like granola. At 1% mescaline 40grams = 400mg (correct me if my math is bad) Since San Pedro can very between 1-2% I chose to go with all 40 grams for my experiment. As a side note, there are three major enthogens of interest in San Pedro. The calculations don't take that into account.
Pt. 2
I took approx. 1/4 ounce of Syrian Rue seeds and cracked them in a mortar and pestle. I boiled this 3 times with about a cup of water each time. I combined and reduced the strained liquids into a single glass, using low heat.
Pt. 3
I drank the harmala tea and then ate 20 grams of the granola. I waited for about an hour and then ate the second 20 grams. I washed each one down with a glass of water.
(I wish I lived in a nation where I didn't have to fear persecution for this. It really makes me wonder.)
My body wouldn't let me keep it down long enough to have a +++ experience- but -from the way I feel I doubt I could handle the body load.
