So I had heard about salvia and wanted to try it. I planned to smoke some with my boys. Prior to that I was hanging out at my buddy Thomas's house drinking beers and smoking a fat bowl of hydro. Knowing I was going to smoke salvia I headed out to Eric's house. I got there and he warned me about the effects that it would give me, not thinking to much about it I started smoking the bowl of salvia (I just had a straight hitter not a bong or hookah). So I ripped the first hit and held it looking at Eric, he comments to me that I'm about to be jacked in! I exhale after 20 seconds and take another smoking hit. Now I wasn't really all that ready for the journey I was about to embark upon.

I'm looking around this barren room that I have been in more times that I can count. And it just starts looking different and I start feeling completely lost. I'm laying down and I start to stare at my legs, and that's when my vision started collapsing on top of itself and Eric asked if I was ok. I kept hearing the question in my head... I bugged out. Getting out of that room was a very high priority.

Visually, it was like a see-through silk veil fluttering over my eyes. The background looked the same, just the foreground was distorted. For the life of me I could not remove the veil.

I tried to stand up, and Eric sat me back down. Then I tried to get up again. Feeling very primal, I crouched staring at Eric. He had his hands out saying its OK. I felt like I didn't know him what so ever even though I have been acquainted with him for a year but he seemed a complete stranger. At that moment I felt a pressure on the right side of my body like I was still laying down, but at this point I was standing up straight. I kept trying to relate what I was feeling to him, but talking was like a new experience. He understood what I was saying, but it sounded so ludicrous to me. I never thought I would be in such a state of mind so quickly. Needless to say I was spun out.

I manage to stay standing, then I felt some thing I have never felt before, vibes. The room had very bad vibe, and I had to get out. I felt so much fear that it was literally controlling my body. Eric tried to stop me, but I shove him out of the way. He yells for D to help. D is a good guy, and I meant him no harm, but I had the fear in me. As he confronts me I knock him out of the way. I finally get to the door still feeling this weird pressure, (as if I were laying on my side on the floor trying to walk, but I was standing straight up), and busted out the door. My mind's working a thousand miles per second, having feelings of fear and pure panic. Eric was right behind me. He asked, 'Dude, are you OK,' I replied over and over 'Man I want it to stop, make it stop'. All of this took maybe 15 minutes, and the trip had run its course. Having smoked hydro probably didn't help me from freaking out as bad as I did. I felt for that mind-blowing 15 minutes I was in danger of going nuts and never coming down.

That was my first time to lose grip of reality.
