I was trying to kick a heroin habit when a friend got perscribed suboxone. So we decided to try it after doing some research. We didnt do any dope for about 16 so we were just starting to withdrawal at the time we took the first dose.
We had 8 mg pills that were supposed to dissolve under your tounge and we started off with one each and carried on with our business. After 2-3 hours I looked at my friend and asked 'I dont think I'm feeling anything yet' and my freind responded 'I think I might be feeling something, its very subtle and weak, but steady and constant'. So I got impatient and took another 8 mg pill, and so did my friend.
I got impatient and took another 8 mg pill, and so did my friend.
We get home and decide to watch a movie. After about 4-5 hours had passed from the initial dose and I was getting pissed that I wasnt feeling a buzz yet. I mean people had reported getting the 'nod' at 2 mg. So I chew of yet anther pill, almost a full one, so I had ingested about 20-23 mg at this point. We finish watching the movies, while we're smoking about 6-7 joints that evening. My friend had stayed up all night the night before and was on adderall so he was very tired and was passing out.
I remember feeling slightly sick. But ignored it and went to bed. I woke up 4 hours later early in the morning, did a couple of lines of coke, smoked a joint, and headed off to my rehab program I've been put in. I was really feeling messed up at this point. I returned to my friend later that afternoon to wake him up and ingested another 8 mg of the orange pill at that point I had taken little over 30 mg within less then 24 hours. And it was my first experince ever taking this med. Anyways I felt fine all day, even getting some nice 'nods' and I thought to myself this was great.
At about 8 pm that evening I get on the subway and all of a sudden I start feeling very very ill. Like I need to throw up right away, I start sweating profusely. I run out of the subway station at the next stop and just start throwing up everywhere, all over the street. I stumble home and crash next to my toilet bowl. I keep puking every 5 minutes for the next 3-4 hours. This was the worst sickness I ever felt, worse then alcohol poisoning, worse then seasickness, even worse then a heroin overdose or withdrawal. I am passing out, barely breathing as I'm puking my lungs out. I decide to call an ambulance. They took me to the emergency room where they gave me a bunch of stuff (which I cant exactly recall what it was) through IV and put heart monitors on me and a nurse keept doing things that that IV needle in my arm but I was passing out so I cant remember what happend. I woke up at 4 in the morning and wanted to go home.
I never took suboxone again after that. It takes a long time for the drug to kick in and for the body to fully feel the effects. This drug wont create that 'rush' or 'nod' high junkies desire unless I'm taking way too much then what is healthy. I sure know now that this stuff is not as good as some doctors claim it is.
