I've been taking suboxone for years now, over five. I was a junkie. I wasn't your typical theiving, robbing, screwing over everyone and anyone to get it junkie tho, I earned my money, acquired it in some way shape or form (without hurting anyone else in the process) and once I'd had enough money I'd go get my dope and get high. My reasons for doing dope in the first place wasn't to 'get the high' or 'get the nod'. I got high to become numb, to remove all feelings, thoughts and emotions.

Back to the suboxone. I got on suboxone years ago and it was the best thing a junkie could ever do for themselves, unless they plan on shooting up for the rest of their lives (which usually isn't going to be a long one). The first time I took it I'd taken a whole one. I hadn't been doing much dope at the time so a whole one made me throw up. The reason was because I wasn't used to such a powerful substance any longer. So I cut back, taking a 4th of one or a half of one depending on how I felt that day.

But suboxone made me NOT WANT to get high any longer

. It took away the cravings immediately and it also helped bring me back into myself (if you can understand that). I can honestly say suboxone saved my life and the lives of many people I know. My father actually called it 'my magical cure' or 'my cure pill'. If I hadn't gotten on suboxone I'd either be dead right now or still sitting around with a needle hanging out of my arm. My suboxone doctor is a life saver and I'd be six feet under without him and suboxone.
