Tramadol Experience

As a person who has experimented with hydrocodone before, I was a little mystified when my doctor prescribed me 'tramadol' for a back injury recently. I had never heard of this chemical before, but I was intrigued when I found out that it was in fact an opoid and similar to narcotics. I intended to see what it would feel like at different dosages. I love the euphoric effect of hydrocodone so I hoped that this would be similar.

At the prescribed dosage, 50mg or 1 tablet, I experienced a slight mood lift and reduction of feeling and pain. This chemical has one of the more long lasting effects I have experienced. I would say at the recommended dosage the effect lasted approximately 5 - 6 hours.

The next time that I took it I decided I would take 2 tablets, or 100mg. The mood lift was much stronger at this dosage, and I felt a strong euphoria, with an overall good feeling all over my body, seeming to be centered just under the surface of my skin. I noticed that warmth amplified the effects, such as hot water or feeling heat coming from the ventilation system. The effect was even more long lasting than one pill.. I would say it took 30 minutes to one hour to get to its peak effect, and I felt the full effects for at least 6 - 8 hours. I took the pills around 4pm and I could swear I still felt the effects mildly the next morning at 7am.

The next day after doing this I experienced a slight headache throughout the day but I am not sure that this can be blamed on the tramadol and not other causes.

Other than the headache with I think the tramadol is not responsible for, I experienced nothing unpleasant while taking it, though it did make me extremely relaxed and with relaxation came perhaps a slight amount of drowsiness. I was not taking anything else at the time, just tramadol.

Overall I had a very good experience. I think it was actually more enjoyable than small amounts of hydrocodone.
