First of all I must say that I am not one to take opiates recreationally, I suffer from painful muscular spasms due to laboring for long hours and I believe I may have fibromyalgia, though that hasn't been diagnosed.

My doc prescribed the muscle relaxer cyclobenzaprine (flexeral) for this condition. I don't regularly take the flexeral because it makes me feel so drowsy the next day, but I took half of one last night to help my aching body rest. This morning I got out of bed aching and tired, hungover from the flexeral, and depressed due to my feelings of ill health. I took 3 half-gram capsules of Kratom, and made some peppermint tea for its anti- nausea properties because I've read so many horror stories of vomiting after taking this plant.

After about a half hour I noticed significant pain relief and much more energy than usual and my mood improved. I ran some errands and enjoyed listening to my music on my car stereo more than I usually do. Three hours later, I think the effects are fading, I'm starting to feel tired and achy again, but not as bad as this morning. Also, I started menstruating and don't have cramps as I usually do.
