DOSE:
  oral LSD (liquid)
BODY WEIGHT: 160 lb
I was on a ski trip down to West Virginia with a group of about twenty people in March 2001. I had bought a vial a few months back and had sold/eaten all of what looked like but a dose or two left. What would be better than to split two doses betweeen two friends and myself while everybody was getting drunk. I figured it would keep us up and permit us to finish off the keg with ease. Before this night the most acid I had taken was three doses of this very same liquid, and that proved to be a trip on the brink of insanity. We figured the best way to split this was to drop it into a bottle of orange juice and take turns gulping it down. We finished the bottle and went back out to join the party and have a few beers. About fifteen minutes after ingesting the orange juice I start to get that familiar feeling of the body buzz, but this was way to soon to be feeling the one dose I thought I had taken. Right then I knew that this wasn't going to be the calm trip I had planned. Around half an hour after injestion the visuals started to kick in, it was like nothing I had ever seen before. People would melt into the walls and then reappear from thin air. I turned to my one friend (who had experienced taking 9 hits) and asked him how many hits he thought that we took, he said, 'Feels like about four or five.' Things keep on getting more and more intense, the body buzz was so strong that it was painful. It felt as if my whole body were going to explode at any minute. I kept on yelling, 'I THINK I'M GONNA BLOW UP.' My two friends later told me that they were expecting me to blow up at any minute. About an hour and a half after injestion I again asked my friend how many hits he thought we took, he said, 'At least ten, probably more.' From that point on things get a little fuzzy, I remember that listening to techno music made me totally lose my mind (not in a good way). I also remember running outside the house in about a foot of snow and yelling, 'We have to run as fast as we can' at the moon. I eventually fell down in the snow far away from the house and looked up at the clear night sky, it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The stars and the moon were all moving around changing colors like some crazy planetarium. For some reason I got really scared and ran back inside, it was then that I realized that I had taken (what my twisted mind believed) a lethal dosage and I was either going to trip forever or die. That was the scariest thing I have ever felt. That continued for about three hours of my seven hour peak. The one other thing I also remember is seeing time slow down to a stop, and then start going backwards. The next day my friends said that I was running through the party wearing only my boxer shorts saying, 'Its gonna be alright, thank you everybody for understanding.' They also said that at one point during the trip they came looking for me upstairs and found me in the corner of a pitch black room, hiding in the closet making some type of animal noises. I have learned that acid is one of the most unpredictable drugs that I have taken. A piece of advice, don't ever trust how much you think is in a vial because you could be totally taken by surprise and not prepared for an insane experience.
