I'm deeply fond of empathogens and entactogens. I believe that most recreational drug users (even and especially those who drink 'socially') are, at least to an extent, self-medicating. There are of course people that don't 'need' drugs to have a good time. They've been blessed with great brain chemistry, but fail to realize that the majority of their peers cannot reach the level of ecstasy and bliss they reach without drugs. Those who feel neurochemically 'healthy' (happy) cannot fathom that others cannot feel as good as they do without drugs. It boggles their mind, and I don't mind it as long as they don't have a problem with me sniffing or drinking or smoking what I please. But I digress.

Let's get back to 2C-I. This report is primarily my notes on different dosages. I find this substance incredible in this broad range of effects dependent on dose. In low doses it acts like an MDXX high and in higher doses it acts like a strong psilocybin trip.

Something shared at ALL oral doses for me are the following characteristics:
+40-60 mins after dosing: FIRST HINT stomach feels 'funny.' Feels like I need to drop the kids off at the pool, but it quickly turns to nausea.

Quickly after the first hint, the effects escalade. It always begins with major stomach discomfort. Like my stomach is churning and wants to expel everything I've ever given it. It's not pleasant, but if I keep my calm I can ride it out. I always take 50mg meclizine 40 mins beforehand but it doesn't do anything.

+100-120 min: 40-60 mins after the first hint, I get into the psychedelic mindset. At this point it becomes increasingly difficult not to focus on the nausea. Mint gum helps. Being outside helps. Talking with friends and just changing the mood helps.

Now up to this point, whether I've taken 10mg or 25mg the come up is the same. What happens next is dose dependent.


'EMPATHOGENIC' DOSE
2C-I at 0.2372mg/kg (~17mg for a 71kg person) acts as a potent empathogen with superb visuals (flowering, swirling, vibrant colors, shine, details, etc) with a very clear head very much like methylone. To me, it's like taking 2g of mushrooms with 300mg of methylone but with a lot more visuals.


'MIDLY TRIPPY' DOSE
at 0.26mg/kg (~19-20mg for a 71kg person) the drug begins to become trippy. The empathy is there, but the mind-fuck aspect of the trip is increasing with dosage at this point. It's like taking 1/8th of shrooms and half an MDMA pill with some strong herb. This can be fun, but I have to remember that 2C-I comes and goes in waves. I Tread carefully...


'IS THIS RECREATIONAL??' DOSE
At 0.39mg/kg (~27-28mg for a 71kg person) the drug can become quite strong.

This to me is like taking 6g of mushrooms as a tea. It comes and goes in waves, and combined with weed or nitrous, it can lead to moments where I really think I fucked up. I know WHO I am. I know that I have a body, and so on. But 'what' exactly am I in the grand scheme of things?

It can be scary. It can be fucking terrifying if I'm with the wrong group of people. Imagine sitting in a room with one 'friend.' who tells you - 'hey, am I really here or am I just in your head? Maybe you've been making me up this entire time? Think about it..' - At this dose, things like that can really mess you up.
