California Rocket Fuel
Venlafaxine (Effexor) & Mirtazapine (Remeron)

DOSE:
75 mg oral Pharms - Venlafaxine (daily)
45 mg oral Pharms - Mirtazapine (daily)
This combo called California Rocket Fuel. It is potent in effectiveness on depression in a few days. It is said by many to be quite addictive, but I am not trying to get off it and cannot say. The addiction stories do scare me, though, and I am fearful of increasing the Effexor dosage as I am instructed to do on a weekly basis until reaching 150 mg/day.

The effect is a very pleasant low level buzz that is borderline, but not quite psychedelic, like the first euphoric edge of acid. It stops there and goes no further, but that is enough. It really is amazing this combo is not illegal due to both the euphoric mental effects and the addictiveness.

Bad effects of 2 days of a slightly higher dose were nasty tinnitus and audible hallucinations during twilight sleep when mumbling voices were plain. There is a persistent sweet taste in my mouth that is pleasant except when eating something savory that should not taste sweet, and does.

I am a meditator who practices about 30 minutes/day. The effect of CRF on meditation is a very concentrated state of attention with very little monkey mind. During a 60 minute meditation I entered what was, I think, a mid level jhana state of trance that I have never realized before. The stillness and beauty of the moment felt truly Buddha-like.
