High on Imodium AD

I made an extract of loperamide, by starting with a bottle of 350 2mg generic loperamide tablets, this is the same chemical in Imodium A-D. I bought the bottle of 350 tablets for $5 US at a wholesale food chain. I found crushing the pills to be difficult, so I simply let the alcohol break them down.

I poured all of the tablets in a glass bowl and added a half pint of vodka and let it sit for 24 hours. The next day I stirred it with a spoon and finished crushing the mostly dissolved tablets. I let it sit overnight again, and on the third day I poured the mixture into a coffee filter and it went from a thick green sludge to a semi-clear green liquid. I hit it with a hair dryer on low to heat it and hasten the evaporation process a bit and reduced the volume of liquid by about half. Then I kind of forgot about it for a week and found it almost completely evaporated. I tilted the bowl and put the liquid in one corner. On the other side of the bowl a pile of crystals with green food coloring was kind of stuck together. I picked this up with a knife, it felt crystalline and looked to be about 50mg but this is just an estimate. I have heard when smoked loperamide has similar dosages as hydrocodone, and since I'm on 100mg of methadone per day, I put it all on a bowl of cannabis and smoked it. I definitely got a mild opioid effect. I'm not going to get into the whole blood brain barrier argument, I'm just saying that when I smoke loperamide, it does get me high. Be careful out there.
