I am not sure if my experience with etizolam is related to my SSRI prescriptions, but I decided to share my experiences in case they were so other SSRI users can know what to (potentially) expect.

I am on 40mg Prozac, a medium (unknown specific amount) dose of bupropion, and as-needed mirtazepine (15 mg) prescriptions. All SSRIs. [Erowid Note: Mirtazapine and bupropion aren't considered SSRIs.] I also used to be prescribed ambien 10mg for about 12 months for insomnia so I have a lot of experience with hypnotics.

I took 2-6mg of Xanax per day for about 5 months after a car accident (doctor was one of those who made his living over-prescribing drugs), so I am very familiar with benzos.

I was looking for a legally obtainable way to recreate that high and stumbled into etizolam. I ordered some from an Internet dealer and received amazing service; it's incredible that the service I receive buying drugs is better than that I get from my fucking cell phone company.

Anyway, I got the etizolam on saturday of a 3-day weekend. I proceeded to experiment with it for the next 5 days. I had truly scary results and should have stopped earlier, but I just kept thinking 'okay I'll try a lower dose and maybe it'll work better.' it didn't.

Etizolam has both benzo and hypnotic effects (ie. ambien-like effects). For me the hypnotic effects completely dominate the benzo effects. I had the frightening experience of taking as little as about .25mg of etizolam and then spending hours and hours doing things very uncharacteristic of me and COMPLETELY FORGETTING about it. I offered people jobs at my company and forgot until days later. I watched three entire separate movies and have ZERO recollection of any of them. I came to work after having taken a very small dose of etizolam the second day after the weekend was over and I was so out of it several coworkers commented on it and my boss sent me home because he assumed I was sick. If I didn't have such an incredibly trusting boss I would be fired.

From my experience etizolam is totally fucked and has ZERO rec value. However, my experience differs from many others. I don't know why exactly but the diff may come from my prescriptions; SSRIs interfere with the function of many rec drugs so it may be the case with etizolam that they enhance hypnotic effects. Either way, if you're on SSRIs or just looking for a benzo high PLEASE be very very careful with etizolam; it can be much more hypnotic than benzodiatezic.
