John B. Williams is Associate Professor of Police Science at California State College at Los Angeles. For fifteen years, he was in charge of Administrative Vice for the Chief of Police of the Los Angeles Police Department; during those years he gained valuable and practical information about all aspects of vice and its control, especially relating to narcotics. Professor Williams has been an instructor for F.B.I. Regional Schools, the Los Angeles Police Academy, Notre Dame University, and the University of Soutehrn California. He holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, as well as a Master of LAws. The author's background, training, and experience are clearly reflected in the revised edition of this practical and up-to-date handbook.
