DESCRIPTION
Dronabinol is a synthetic form of delta-9-THC, the primary active ingredient in Cannabis. It is presecribed as an appetite stimulant and for treating neuropathic pain in the United States. Dronabinol is one of the examples used to point out the inconsistency of the U.S. and U.N. controlled substance rules and definitions because THC both falls under the classifications as "no accepted medical use" and "accepted medical use".
